Position Summary:

Position: Territory Sales Manager

Position: Territory Sales Manager

Position Summary:

An opportunity exists for experienced sales professional. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding his or her assigned geographic territory forecast. This will be accomplished by aggressively pursuing new sales opportunities and by effectively establishing strong business relationships with our current and future client base. The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for training and working with our channel partners to close sales opportunities. The Territory Sales Manager will also be responsible for developing and continually updating effective written strategic business plans for each major account to ensure that we are expanding our market share at a double-digit growth rate. The Territory Sales Manager has additional responsibility for seeking out new business opportunities for Boston Bioproducts R&D team and engaging all appropriate sales personnel to achieve maximum results for the company in total.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market all products in assigned geographic territory by using exceptional selling skills to exceed pre-established territory forecasts
  • Work weekly with our channel partners (VWR, Fisher and World Wide) to close sales
  • Continually promote Boston Bioproducts breadth of product offerings on all sales calls to achieve maximum client solution opportunities
  • Develop detailed business plans for each key account in order to achieve double-digit annualized growth
  • Participate as a team member in all assigned corporate and focus account initiatives
  • Daily update company CRM reports of projected appointments, orders, etc., to assist in monthly company sales forecasting and product build plans.
  • Aggressively pursue new laboratory selling opportunities and correctly identify same on all quotation submittals.
  • Control expenses against pre-established budget and submit required reports on a timely basis.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited higher learning instution, with emphasis in the Life Sciences preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of highly successful laboratory sales experience required.
  • Must have an exceptional understanding of our markets and be knowledgeable of diverse laboratory product applications.
  • Strong knowledge of assigned account base.
  • Exceptional analytical capability and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere and influence others to achieve results.
  • Self motivated with bias for action.
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive communications abilities

Position: Inside Sales Representative

Position: Inside Sales Representative

Position Summary:

Our Inside Sales Representative is responsible for the sales of research products and services primarily by using the telephone; but also using email, Internet, and other technology within a defined territory. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for serving customers engaged in pharmaceutical, biomedical, chemical, and other fields of research and development, as well as quality assurance labs such as in food and environmental testing. The Inside Sales Representative maintains effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user within assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain effective customer relations with purchasing and end user within assigned territory
  • Independently make decisions, but also utilize available resources to meet customer needs and work effectively with cross-functional team of supplier and internal resources
  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans to expand business within assigned territory; Maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Perform sales calls and vendor relations with all customers and potential customers in the assigned territory primarily by phone, but face-to-face customer meetings may be required
  • Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduces new products and services
  • Manage pricing within territory to control profitability
  • Maintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of territory
  • Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems; perform other tasks assigned by manager
  • Inform customers of supply and price trends and assist in inventory control

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in the research laboratory industry
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the sciences
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
  • Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office and the internet
  • Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer
  • Must deliver excellent customer service
  • Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Must be willing to travel to customer locations, if needed
