Product Description
As a naturally occurring aminonucleoside antibiotic, puromycin causes premature termination of protein synthesis during translation. In molecular biology research, it is used to select for eukaryotic cells that have been transfected with vectors conferring puromycin resistance, allowing for the exploration of gene activity and protein interactions in complex cellular systems.
