HEPES [2-(4-(2-hydroxyethyl) piperazin-1-yl)ethanesulfonic acid] Buffered Saline (HBS) is a versatile buffer that maintains a stable pH in the range of 6.8 to 8.2, making it suitable for biological applications including in tissue culture, cell culture, cell isolation procedures, flow cytometry and for the preparation of plasmid DNA. It can also be used as a reagent for preparing transfection mixtures, and in protein isolation and activity studies.
