HEPES [2-(4-(2-hydroxyethyl) piperazin-1-yl)ethanesulfonic acid] Buffered Saline is a versatile buffer that maintains a stable pH in the range of 6.8 to 8.2, making it suitable for biological applications including in tissue culture, cell culture, cell isolation procedures, and for the preparation of plasmid DNA. It can also be used as a reagent for preparing transfection mixtures, and in protein isolation and activity studies. This buffer is made at 2X concentration.
