Product Description
EGTA solution, also known as [Ethylene glycol-bis(β-aminoethyl ether)-N,N,N’,N’-tetraacetic acid] is extensively used in molecular biology and protein biochemistry applications that require the chelation of divalent metal cations, such as calcium ions. This specificity makes it particularly useful in biological systems where calcium plays an important role, as well as for the determination of calcium in the presence of magnesium, since EGTA has greater specificity for calcium ions.
