Product Description
The CHAPS lysis buffer, or 3-[(3-cholamidopropyl)dimethylammonio]-1-propanesulfonate buffer, is a zwitterionic lysis buffer commonly used to lyse cells under nondenaturing conditions. This buffer supports applications including solubilization and purification of membrane proteins, and enzyme assays. Although CHAPS lysis buffer exhibits strong protein dissolution potentials, it still preserves protein conformation and protein-protein interaction for co-immunoprecipitation and pull down analyses.
