Product Description
Acrylamide is an organic water-soluble monomer that polymerizes to form a soluble transparent, charge-neutral, and inert polyacrylamide gel in the presence of bis-acrylamide. This polyacrylamide gel formed functions as a chemically inert, electrically neutral, and hydrophilic matrix, and is commonly used for electrophoretic separation of biomolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE).Â
