The Krebs-Henseleit buffer with HEPES is a balanced salt solution used in cell culture and tissue preservation to maintain physiological pH and osmotic balance, and is formulated at a pH of 7.40 ± 0.15. It contains glucose, magnesium sulfate, potassium phosphate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride and HEPES. This buffer is ideal for experiments requiring stable pH, such as calcium imaging and tissue preservation.
