Product Description
Beta Glycerophosphate is a potent serine-threonine phosphatase inhibitor that is commonly used in kinase reaction buffers. It is often combined with other phosphatase/protease inhibitors for broad spectrum inhibition. Beta Glycerophosphate has also been shown to accelerate calcification of cultured vascular smooth muscle cells through an alkaline phosphatase-related mechanism, and is soluble in water (10 mg/ml) . A typical working concentration used is 1 to 100 mM.
